The Studio
I established blanc as an independent graphic design and communication studio. Working across a range of disciplines such as print, web and identity and striving to create work that is both simple and aesthetically beautiful. As well as typical graphic design projects I have been commissioned to produce digital illustrations and large graffiti pieces. I often take part in collaborations and am open to any alternative commissions; please get in touch if you'd like to talk anything over.
Experience
Since graduating in 2008 with a BA(Hons) in Graphic Design I have been fortunate enough to both work and study as a Graphic Designer. For the last two years I worked as part of the Web Design Marketing team for Swansea Metropolitan University (SMU) creating both web and print items for the University. During this time I studied for a Masters in Visual Communication, which will continue over the following year and I will complete in 2011.
Influence
I started out as an illustrator/stencil graffiti artist, preferring to use block colour and simple shapes over more elaborate 'freestyle' techniques. I wanted my work to do more than be just a visual, which led me to graphic design. I found my natural style transitioned easily into graphics and taking influence from masters such as Saul Bass, enjoyed creating vector graphics to sit alongside my print and web work.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. I'm more than happy to talk about what I can offer or even simply to talk over a project.
